Celina Blackwood – Royal matriarch and current head of the Blackwood family. Spirit mage with lifeforce healing abilities.
Connor Blackwood– Older brother to Celina and Cat. Lightning Forces warrior assigned to Team Onyx in the reconnaissance division. Shadow mage.
Catriona (Cat) Blackwood – Younger sister to Celina and Connor. Mind mage with truth seeking ability.
Cass – Warrior of the Wolflumen clan. Shadow mage. Best friend to Celina. Considered unusual for the bonds she keeps outside the Wolflumen clan.
Commander Morgan Galen – Lightning Forces commander overseeing the rescue division. In the process of adopting a refugee child he bonded strongly with.
Sarai – Refugee child. Spirit mage with healing and dream walking abilities. In the process of being adopted by Morgan Galen.
Aiden – Refugee child. Friend of Sarai brought in with her who is suffering from an unusual infection/injury that is causing a slow death.
Althea Silvan – Mated to Barnabus, mother to Sam and several unnamed daughters. Physical healer. Currently head of the healer’s guild in Calderre.
Barnabus Silvan – Mated to Althea, father to Sam and several unnamed daughters. The realm’s finest mapmaker.
Sam (Zafar) Silvan – Refugee child from Eldridge. Adopted by Althea and Barnabus into the Silvan family.
Senior Commander Varice – Lightning Forces senior commander, oversees several divisions.
Commander Alison Mekray – Lightning Forces commander for the reconnaissance division. Soul-guardian to Connor.
Alayna Cowen – Refugee from Zamyra, raised in Calderre and adopted by the Cowen family. Plant mage. Friends with Celina and Sam.
Drake – Proprietor and barkeep of the Violet Rose Inn & Tavern. He enjoys matchmaking and meddling whenever the opportunity arises.

Eldridge
Rodric Velton – Preddari hunter controlling the Westcliff region. Immediate family deceased. Mother and twin sister died under traumatic circumstances. Soul-guardian to Brenna.
Brenna Velton – Young daughter of Veron and Marion (deceased) Velton. Soul-daughter of Rodric. Metal mage.
Avery Velton – Deceased. Twin of Rodric. Spirit mage with healing abilities.
Veron Velton – Father to Brenna. Cousin to Rodric and runs the Velton estate on his behalf.
Sev – Preddari hunter controlling an unnamed region of Eldridge. Best friend to Rodric. Studies ancient history, myths and legends in his spare time. Adores Rodric’s horse.
Daya – Guardian of Hannelore Mountain. Earth mage.
Roarke Zafar – Oldest of the seven Zafar siblings. Takes younger siblings to safety when their family is persecuted.
Damien Zafar – Deceased. One of seven Zafar siblings. Twin to Jena. Air mage.
Jena Zafar – One of seven Zafar siblings. Twin to Damien.
Merrick – Blacksmith in town of Mountainview. Gifts Rodric and Celina his and his late mate Josephina’s joining bracelets as they had no children to pass the heirlooms.
Ridgecrest Fortress, Eldridge
Captain Darrett – In command of Ridgecrest fortress and various teams of soldiers stationed there. Responsible for bringing in a quota of mages for the slave trade.
Lieutenant Devryn – Second in command at Ridgecrest fortress.
Jack – Particularly violent soldier at Ridgecrest fortress who likes to torture captives.
Veda – Young mage taken captive and eventually rescued.
Opal – Very young mage child taken captive and eventually rescued.
Marin – Teenage mage taken captive and eventually rescued.
Gavin – Teenage mage taken captive and eventually rescued. Became very close friends with Brenna.
